As you may be aware last November we welcomed two and then two more kittens into our house bringing our total cat population to seven. Yes, it has been ridiculous around here since then. As they were born at my in-laws house to a captured feral cat, we know today is their first birthday. This is what the first two looked like then...all sweetness and light. They have brought love, chaos and two tons of white fur into our lives. The chaos and white fur, I could really do without, but they'd probably be less cuddly bald.
But I digress, to celebrate this rare quadruple birthday I'm doing a quick giveaway for this one of a kind necklace that was created not too long after they arrived. All you need to do to put your hat into the ring is to leave a comment on this post. I'll pick a winner on Monday by random number generator to give everyone more time to enter to win. If I get more than 50 entries I'll add a second more awesome secret prize.
I'll just leave you this morning with a picture of three of the four much larger kittens now since I couldn't get them to pose all together and I wish you much luck in the random drawing.
EDIT: The second prize has been added to the mix, one pair of In Bloom Ankle Corsets will go to a second winner!
Ooooo - I'd love to win.

Love the kitten's. We had a stray cat who had Kitten in our gurage. I did fine home's for all of them and we kept one who think she has to be with me all of the time. Lays on the computer desk with here head on the computer mouse. That makes two cats and a dog in the house. Please count me in.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to the kittens and good on you adopting them/keeping up with all that flying fur! No wonder you mention cleaning quite often. :) The necklace is gorgeous, but then I love everything you tat.

ReplyDeleteThere can never be too many kitty pics! And these are adorable.

Hi Jane,
ReplyDeleteOoooh, having one of your creations would be Sooooo nice. However, win it or not, you are one of my blessings. You have taught me so much on my needle tatting experience and I want to take this opportunity to say thank you, very much.
Oops! I called you Jane, sorry. Not sure what got into my head. Could it be the kitten fur, Pauline??? Ha ha
ReplyDeleteYou are so prominent in my crafting adventure that even the fur has found it's way here!
Enjoy the day.
Sue
Happy belated birthday to the kitties.
ReplyDeleteinteresting kitties. happy kitty birthday!
ReplyDeleteWould love to be the winner of your beautiful necklace! Although, I really never win anything, so this is just to say "Happy birthday" kitties! I had three myself before I had my two munchkins. It became too much with two babies, a husband ( who acts like he's a munchkin) and three cats! I just couldn't keep up, so we had to give them away to other good homes. I miss them sooo much! Take care! Good luck everybody!
ReplyDeleteOh My Gosh!! I love your kitties. Though I would imagine the white fur would get to be a bit much.
ReplyDeleteI'm totally in :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I have dark cats, I can't imagine that much white fur!
ReplyDeleteThank you for this opportunity!
ReplyDeleteAwww, kittens... They do tend to get bigger, less (or different) cute, and shed a lot more than when they are wee and adorbz... but we still consider them our kittens and love them all the same.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to win this. Though if I don't, I may use this piece as inspiration to make a black and metal necklace of my own. =P
Oh, I'd love to win some of your beautiful work! Please put me in the drawing!!!!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful that you were able to add some felines to your household. I, too, took in a mostly-white, somewhat-feral kitten two years ago, though I have two older kitties who weren't happy at first. Fizzgig sheds everywhere and climbs into bags, boxes, hampers to curl up and nap, and insists on being cuddled whenever I'm in the bathroom, then starts chewing on my hands... and I wouldn't change a thing. :)
ReplyDeleteHi! Please put me in the drawing! If I don't get picked, may I have a little white kitty instead?
ReplyDeleteHappy (belated) kitty birthdays! Would love to be included in the contest, and figured then this was a good time to mention:
ReplyDeleteI've been playing with tatting for just over a year now thanks to your blog (taught myself from your flower motif video!), and am getting pretty confident with it. I am currently designing a tatted table runner to make for my parents' ENORMOUS dining room table! Because even though it'll probably take approximately the rest of my life to make, I enjoy tatting that much :) Thanks!
I want to be in too!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for being so generous!
I'm in!
ReplyDeletevery nice! :D
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Such cute kitties! >^_^<
ReplyDeleteFour kitties and you still manage to manage the thread :)

Aww, kitty ears are so cute. And the ones you make on the headband are nice to. Hee hee
ReplyDeleteYou do come up with some unique ideas. Such fun!
Great blog, I learned needle tatting about 10 yrs ago and then while moving I couldn't locate my materials. I finally foun them now I'm going to get back into it, I have forgotten a lot of the stitches, but now that I found your blog, I' relearn them.
ReplyDeleteCute kitties! How in the world can you come up with this stuff! Amazing!
ReplyDeleteYou are the reason my boyfriend and I decided to learn how to tat. Your designs and style give a little edge to the craft and really inspired us to make our own gothy items. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI love that ankle design. I often wear high heels and that is a perfect way to spruce up black shoes. Wow!!!
ReplyDeletecute kitties!
ReplyDeleteCats are the best <3 happy birthday, kitties!
ReplyDeleteI would love to win, I keep one of your cats pics as a desktop background.
ReplyDeleteI would like to be entered in the drawing too.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for taking the kittens in. A lot of people are willing to let them fend for themselves, it's always wonderful to see people who step up!
Beautiful kitties, and I LOVE the ankle corsets!!!
ReplyDeleteWow - how generous of you. All of your designs are exquisite
ReplyDeleteYour kitties are absolutely beautiful!! Seeing your work on Etsy is what inspired me to buy tatting needles and begin to teach myself to tat. I hope to become half as good as you are. :o)
ReplyDeleteThe more the merrier, right? lol I have a tuxedo that just celebrated his 11th birthday on the 25th of August. He's diabetic and lives in his own room now, but for many, maaany years my fuzzbutt had command of the haus and demonstrated the uniquely annoying tux ability of being "black on white things and white on black things" (and grey on anything in between) I love him to death but I will never get all the little white hairs off my black clothes! lol Happy birthday to your babies!
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful babies! I have two Maltese fur babies myself, and am anxious to add another. They bring such joy with their chaos!
ReplyDeleteThe necklace and ankle corsets are beautiful, and I would love to add either to my TotusMel collection!
OOH! how beautiful, i would love to win anything you made, it's all so pretty and unique :D And a happy birthday to your adorable babies <3 I celebrate my kitties birthdays too
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Kitties!!
ReplyDeleteHow do you keep all those pretty kitty hairs off your work? I've always loved having kitties around to warm my lap while I craft or read. It was your amazing work that inspired me to try my hand at tatting...THANKS! I just love it. I'm not nearly as clever or creative as you are, but it's great fun.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, Kitty!
ReplyDeleteAnd you know how I love your ankle corsets!
I'd love to win! happy birthday kitties!
ReplyDeleteI would love a pair of ankle corsets!! I think they are great!
ReplyDeleteHow adorable! And the kittehs are kawaii too ^_^

I've admired your work for so long! Absolutely, mind-blowing-ly (not technically a word, I know) beautiful.
ReplyDeleteGuess if you need another entry to make it legal to add another prize, you can put me down for it. Don't think I would wear them, but sure would be a nice present for daughter. Always interesting to read your blog. Thanks - Robert, in northern Iowa.
